             Today’s devotional thought comes from Romans 16:20b:  The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.  Although Paul’s Epistle to the Romans isn’t quite over yet, this is a fitting blessing—a benediction—to Paul’s message, written by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and inerrant—without error. We’ve been using Romans for morning devotions for some time now, and one ongoing theme should be obvious. When mankind was completely and utterly lost because of sin, God’s grace was made evident in the person, life, death, and resurrection of His Son Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. We are no longer lost—we are found! Jesus has rescued us when there was absolutely nothing we ever could have done or said to make God love us so much. Rather, God chose us by His grace—His undeserved love—and triumphed over our sin and lost condition. We are forgiven and saved as a free gift from God—one we cannot earn. We praise Him for His grace.  Prayer:  Father, we do indeed praise You for Your grace in that You sent Your Son Jesus to lay down His life for us. Because of the Holy Spirit speaking to us through Baptism and Your Word, we know that it is by Your grace that we are saved through faith and not anything on our part. Praise the Lord! Amen.

            Informational meeting about the May 2013 Europe Greece, Egypt, and Italy will be held Wed. Feb. 8 at 7pm in the Library.

A reminder to junior girls: the Girls’ State application is due to Mrs. Ageton on Thursday. 
            Our Lutheran High Volleyball Team will be serving a delicious meal, including Chicken Alfredo, Garlic Bread, Lettuce Salad, and your choice of amazing desserts, this Saturday evening during the boys basketball game.  We will begin serving at 5:30 on Feb. 11th.   If players or parents would like a carry out meal for after the varsity game please order that with us by 7:30 that evening and we will have your meal warm and waiting for you after the win.
